In these residencies, teaching artist Harlan Brownlee of Moving MattersKC presents STEM curriculum (science, technology, engineering, and math) using dance. By integrating dance into STEM curriculum, students build the 21st century learning skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity.

Animals and Algorithms: Coding & Choreography K-4th
Biome Boogie: Exploring Animal and Plant Adaptations with Dance 2nd-5th
Moving Through Math with Dance K-2nd
Principles of Flight 3rd-6th
Matter in Motion: Dancing the States of Matter, 2nd-6th
The Changing Earth, 2nd-4th
Simple Machines: Bodies at Work, 2nd-6th
Energy Conversion, 4th-6th
Planets of Our Solar System, 6th-8th
Requirements: A large, clear space for dancing, preferably a gymnasium or multi-purpose room. If available, a large Screen TV HDMI Compatible. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.
