A Dance Workshop or Residency for Grades K-4

Inspired by the flora and fauna of the earth’s biomes students explore the sequential nature of computers and coding. Starting with a creative movement activity, students explore one of the earth’s biomes and then working in small groups, students create a short simple sequential “habitats dance” that duplicates the structure and form of an algorithm. 

Biomes offered for this workshop are:  

  • The Tropical Rainforest

  • The Southwestern Desert

  • The African Savanna

  • The Wetlands

Available as a single workshop or as a multi-workshop residency.

Requirements: A large, clear space for dancing, preferably a gymnasium or multi-purpose room. If available, a large Screen TV HDMI Compatible. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.

Fees:  $150 single/$250 double

  • The break between workshops must not exceed 90 minutes to receive the reduced rate
