Anansi is in trouble!
Anansi, the spider, finds himself in a tricky situation and needs the help of his six talented sons, each of whom has a unique ability that can help save the day.
In this workshop, students will use dance and movement to create and design six distinct shapes, each representing one of Anansi’s sons and their special gifts. By exploring the concepts of motif and variation, students will experiment with different ways to move and transform these shapes, capturing the essence of each character and their abilities.
Through this creative process, students will bring the story of Anansi and his sons to life, highlighting the importance of collaboration and teamwork in overcoming challenges and the power of working together.
