How powerful are your words? Words shape opinion and policy and simply help us make day-to-day decisions about life. Mastering language is essential to defining one’s perspective and character.
In this workshop, students will develop an Epic poem or short story of self-discovery; creating plot, characters, conflict, theme, setting and rhyme exploring language arts and communications techniques. Through rehearsal, reflection and revision students will create a piece that is both ready for performance and publication.
Requirements: Paper pad and pen for each student; if students have any work prepared, please bring it to the workshop. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.
