In this dynamic and interactive workshop, students will immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Indian culture through dance and music. They will cultivate curiosity about diverse cultures within our society and discover the connections and similarities that unite us.
Through engaging activities, students will explore how rhythm, movement, and hand gestures relate to concepts in science and mathematics. Along the way, they’ll energize their bodies, lift their spirits, and enhance their self-confidence while nurturing both mental and physical well-being through music and movement.
By the end of the workshop, students will have learned foundational hand gestures and basic dance steps, enabling them to perform a short routine set to music.
Requirements: A large, clear space for dancing, preferably a gymnasium or multi-purpose room. Access to power supply and a speaker. Teachers must be present at all times during workshops.
